Morningstar Therapy

Meaning‑centred psychotherapy

for loss, caregiving, and life’s existential turning points

In our work together, I offer a calm and steady presence. Therapy becomes a place where you can slow down, explore what’s been weighing on you, and begin to make sense of your experiences in a way that feels meaningful and true to you. This may include individual work or relationship counselling, where we explore patterns of communication, emotional responses, and the dynamics that shape your connections with others.

My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing on existential psychotherapy, nervous system awareness, somatic practices, and grief-informed work. This allows us to work with both the mind and body, recognising how thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are deeply connected—both within yourself and in your relationships.

I am also a registered naturopath and remedial massage therapist, which has shaped my understanding of how the body holds and expresses experience.

Above all, I aim to offer a space that feels grounded, respectful, and thoughtfully held.

About Angelica

IMG_4542.jpeg

My practice is grounded in integrative, trauma-informed psychotherapy. I draw primarily from existential, relational and meaning-making approaches supporting connection between mind and body.

My work is also informed by transpersonal and compassion-focused perspectives, as well as grief informed therapy. I integrate elements from Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based practices and nervous system regulation to support emotional steadiness and self understanding.

Underlying this approach is an awareness of attachment and relational patterns, recognising how our experiences with others shape the way we relate to ourselves and the world.

How I can support you..

Each person’s experience is unique, and therapy is shaped around what you are navigating. The areas below reflect common themes that may bring people to therapy. These are not fixed categories, but starting points for understanding the kinds of support available.

Therapy for life's deeper transitions

Existential and Meaning-Centered Therapy

At times, deeper questions may emerge—around purpose, identity, freedom, responsibility, or the direction of your life. Existential therapy offers a space to explore these questions thoughtfully, helping you make sense of your experiences and develop a way of living that feels more aligned and meaningful.

Relationship Support

personal and intimate relationships, workplace, friendship breakdown

Relationships can be a source of connection, but also of tension, confusion, or distress. This may include intimate partnerships, family relationships, or shifts in roles over time. Therapy supports you to understand relational patterns, improve communication, and navigate emotional dynamics with greater awareness and care—whether working individually or together.

Caring Roles & Emotional Load

When life is no longer about you

Caring for a loved one can be deeply meaningful, but it can also carry a significant emotional weight. Over time, this responsibility may bring feelings of fatigue, pressure, guilt, or a gradual loss of connection to your own needs. Therapy provides space to acknowledge and process this experience, supporting you to find balance, set boundaries where needed, and sustain yourself alongside the care you offer to others.

Grief & Loss

bereavement, life transitions, acute and ongoing grief

Grief is not limited to bereavement—it can arise through many forms of loss, including changes in identity, relationships, health, or life direction. Therapy offers a space to process both acute and ongoing grief, including the often unrecognised grief that can accompany caring for a loved one. This work supports you to move gently with loss, rather than feeling overwhelmed or alone within it.

when life feels uncertain

Life Transitions & Change

Periods of transition can bring uncertainty, emotional strain, and a loss of clarity about who you are or where you are heading. Whether expected or unexpected, these moments can feel disorienting. Therapy provides a space to reflect, make sense of change, and begin to find steadiness and direction as you move forward.

Overwhelm & Inner Strain

personal, family or work strain

At times, life can feel mentally and emotionally overwhelming—whether through ongoing stress, heightened anxiety, or a sense of being stretched beyond your capacity. You may notice difficulty slowing your thoughts, feeling constantly on edge, or struggling to find space for yourself. Therapy offers a place to gently work with these experiences, supporting greater emotional steadiness, awareness, and a more manageable way of responding to what you are facing.

New to Therapy?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. It’s common to feel unsure about what to expect, what to say, or whether you’re ready.

You don’t need to have everything worked out before you begin. Therapy offers a space where you can arrive just as you are. Together, we take things one step at a time, allowing you to settle into the process and begin to explore what feels important, in a way that feels safe and supported.

Holistic Approach

Mind-Body Balance

What we go through in life is not only held in our thoughts, but also within the body. You may notice this as tension, fatigue, restlessness, or a sense of feeling disconnected from yourself.

In therapy, we gently bring awareness to both your emotional and physical experience. This is not about forcing change, but about creating space to notice and understand what is happening within you. Over time, this can support a greater sense of calm, balance, and connection to yourself.

Personalised Care

Tailored Treatments

When you come to sessions with Angelica, there is no expectation to fit into a particular way of working or to follow a set path.

Together, we take the time to understand what is important to you, moving at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable. The work is shaped collaboratively, with care and attention to your needs, your experiences, and what feels most supportive in each moment.
